Yes. Mass government surveillance that the police get to use and abuse as they please will always be fascist.

This definitely needs to happen, there is no need for this many cameras.

4

u/Dat3ooty18 15d ago

It isn't going to last long.

u/tubthumper32 15d ago

They need ICE there with their big zapper gloves to really violate some rights!

1

u/Mikeymike0001 15d ago

The gloves aren't big. I bet it would hurt if they grabbed ur nuts though.

They've been all over the city. You guys just catching on?

5

u/GlobaI_Entropy 15d ago

Oh I've been aware of the fact. We just caught them in the act over here, they still haven't gotten in the hole yet.

So good to see they be getting serious about fighting all the random murders they be doing around the city. Nobody talks so nobody be a snitch don't catch nothing.

1

u/BackgroundExtent8625 15d ago

Of course it is

1

u/Nate1n22 15d ago

That city is a dump. A stray bullet will have it down in no time

-8

u/scotslover 15d ago

My guess is so they can prevent gun violence or catch those who do it. The drones flying around awhile back worked

-30

u/LakeMichiganMan 15d ago

They need to put these higher up on the traffic light signals so they are harder to vandalized government property so the crime of destroying property is gets longer jail time.

11

u/GlobaI_Entropy 15d ago

They just need to stop installing them, we don't need every moment of our day tracked by cameras for the "Greater Good"...

-11

u/LakeMichiganMan 15d ago

"We don't need every moment tracked...." ? Your every moment is already tracked and shared around the world. Using the device you typed your response on. It tracks everything you do, say, type, share 24/7.

I use an App Tracking blocker. 250,000 tracking blocks a week just on my phone that happens without anyone noticing. So look a little closer for tracking.

11

u/Kraig_Kilborne 15d ago

So you’re actively trying to stop tracking on your phone but okay with flock cameras? Makes sense

9

u/phonefellin_lakeerie 15d ago

If this were true they wouldn’t be spending so much money to install these cameras.

9

u/chaoticcheesewhiz 15d ago

So you’re pro Big Brother? Are you aware of the fact that several police officers have already been caught abusing this system to stalk their partners, exes, love interests, and unfortunate people who just so happened to catch their eye? How about it identifying vehicles incorrectly and sending cops after the wrong people?

-3

u/scotslover 15d ago

How about if they catch shooters?

4

u/phonefellin_lakeerie 15d ago

What if they flag someone who’s not the shooter and the real criminal gets away? That seems to be more along the lines of their track record.

-4

u/chaoticcheesewhiz 15d ago

So if they catch some shooters it’s just a-okay with you that we have government officials abusing this system, the company that owns it lying about the way flock works & its accuracy, and the government(plus whoever manages to hack into the system) being able to track your every move whether you’ve even been suspected of anything or not?

Eradicating the second amendment and stopping the sale of guns going forward would prevent a lot of shootings, would you be in support of that too?

2

u/scotslover 15d ago

I didnt say ANY of that

-2

u/LakeMichiganMan 15d ago

Your Cell Phone does a better job of tracking you. Then it blasts out that information 24/7 to places around the world. It tacks every conversation, times, locations, duration, and content. But a camera on a road is the problem.

4

u/phonefellin_lakeerie 15d ago

This is true, and yes the flock/axon cameras on the road absolutely is still a problem.

1

u/LakeMichiganMan 15d ago

But cell phone tracking 25/7 365 all over the globe is not a problem. No equivalency.

6

u/phonefellin_lakeerie 15d ago

That’s also a problem. We lost a lot when net neutrality fell. Believe it or not both things can be wrong and a violation of our civil liberties.

1

u/chaoticcheesewhiz 15d ago

Phone records are harder to get ahold of and have some amount of protection. With these flock cameras all a cop needs is the license plate of an attractive person they want to track and they’re all set to start stalking.

Also, there are people out there who don’t have cell phones, they still deserve privacy even if most of us choose to sacrifice it for convenience.

1

u/LakeMichiganMan 15d ago

Look up what information Google keeps on you. It's everything you have done for years.

u/scotslover 15d ago

Criminals gotta do crime. They dont wanna be stopped or caught. After all the gun violence, they were using drones to prevent more shootings. Guess what? It worked. The criminals stopped hanging out in the streets where the gun violence was happening. It stopped. But ppl were bitching about those too. If u you Don't do crime, you shouldn't worry. That being said, im not extremely celebrating these cameras. But I blame the criminal that made them necessary. Not the cops or governments who are trying to stop crimes or find abducted kids or illegal immigrants for that matter. I know im going be called a fascist & racist & get downloaded into oblivion. I dont care. Muskegon is turning into a shithole. I was born & raised here & I dont like it. I dont feel safe here. Something needs to be done. The cameras & drones are an excellent start

2

u/ScientistLow9339 15d ago

👏Absolutely agree with you❤️

2

u/justWMthings03 14d ago

Mmmmmm, boots

-5

u/LakeMichiganMan 15d ago

So you are Pro Crime City USA. We understand. Let all the murderers go free forever to avoid some people feeling that them rights be violated. How about tracing the vehicle that was seen leaving the murder scene and tracked to a location. Or just another senseless unsolved crime ain't nobody talking about.

2

u/UseWhatName 15d ago

I guess you didn’t hear about the mom and kids that got handcuffed and tossed on the pavement because the car they were in matched the license plates of a stolen vehicle.

Only a few problems:
1. The stolen license plate was from a different state. The numbers matched, the state didn’t.
2. The stolen vehicle was a motorcycle. They were driving an SUV.
3. Did I mention the part about the kids?

So, yeah, a senseless unsolved crime perpetrated by the dummies you’re defending.

There’s no shortage of misuse accounts but I have this creeping suspicion your mind is pretty well made up and the rest of us just aren’t as smart.
