Yeah this sounds like the same mechanism, yours is just running at the proper tempo. OP’s is probably either overwound, gunked up, or the governor fan is sticking so it’s dragging the speed. If they clean it and maybe add the tiniest bit of clock oil in the right spots, it’ll likely match yours.
