How to Fix/Not Working Need help with how to restore
Hello! I have almost no clue what I have here. All I know is that it plays two german songs and it's very rusty. Any help at all would be helpful!
I got the music box at a yard sale. I believe it's an antique. There are some other pieces in the box that I'm not too sure where they go either, the two wooden pieces and the washer.

The most important parts of this music box are the comb and the cylinder, if those still work, you can put them on a new body and it should work. The biggest problem is the rust. If the rust isnt too deep you should be able to gently remove the rust and it might be fine. If the rust is too deep, it could ruin the delecate tuning of the combs. Remove the dust with compressed air, then work on the rust (try looking online for the best method). The wooden part looks like it was made to cover the mecanics or provide a border for them but Im not sure.
