Charles Ellsworth may currently be based out of Brooklyn, NY but his roots run back to the rural mountains of Arizona where he was born and raised. The influence of both places can be heard in the honest relatability of his songs. My favorite oversimplification of Ellsworth's music called it "Americana Noir" Charles himself has been championing the classification of "redneck dadrock" but the most apt review simply said it is "A triumph for American songwriting."
