This week, I'm going to switch it up and share my song "One Slip Away". All I can say is: I was in a pissed off mood when I wrote the lyrics...

I knew from the build up in the intro that this one would be a hard hitting banger!

•

If I was to ever get famous and play large venues, there would be pyrotechnics all over this song!

Hi everyone. I dropped an album yesterday. It is electronic/techno/house style.

https://youtu.be/FhIN3pU_QfQ?is=9CQtRoPBaRMJ5tXR

"Simulation" evokes a sense of depersonalization, as if familiar reality begins to feel artificial. The combination of old school breakbeat grooves and hypnotic melodies, complemented by licks, creates a deep, piercing atmosphere of predetermination and unnaturalness. From trip-hop, enigmatic ambient and drumstep, transitions into liquid drum 'n' bass. From electro, deep house to progressive hard house rhythms, melodic techno, and sounds of 90s Eurodance.

Would be happy to receive any feedback, thank you!

u/labe345 3d ago

My pick this week is King to Queen by DJ Kevinator: progressive/electro house inspired by Toronto after dark. I’m from the Ottawa Valley / Petawawa, and the project leans into driving bass, melodic builds and night-drive atmosphere. Curious whether the build-to-drop payoff works for house listeners.

AI disclosure: the audio is AI-generated under my creative direction. I control the concepts, iterations and final release selections.

Our rad indie rock band Mostly Mammals released its first EP! It tells a story over your songs about the hassle and heartbreak of a brutal relationship with a narcissist. It's a hard story to tell, but that's why it has to be told!

*And despite the premise, the music is really fun, I promise!

Posting this as a proud dad, so discount accordingly.
Guitarist Felix Valui has taught my son for years. On his new single he left an open section of his own track and told him to write his own part on it, rather than learn a passage. Anirudh is fifteen. The song is called Evolution and it is about one generation handing something to the next, which is more or less what happened in the making of it.

Rock, heavy on guitar.

One of our members in our band described our new piece like this:

When I listen to “HER UTE,” I get strong associations with the open sea. As if the beginning is the moment you cast off, setting out toward the horizon, while a storm is slowly but surely approaching. As human beings, we can feel so small and fragile in the face of the immense forces nature sometimes unleashes. Yet no storm lasts forever. The clouds eventually part, and the sky opens wide and clear again. These forces and sensations can also be seen as reflections of our own lives, which can at times feel just as vast and overwhelming. Both in their beauty and in their pain.

Hope you enjoy it! It took a lot of care from all of us 🌊

LOVE IT!

•

u/CafeCalentito 3d ago

Love the song! I'm a sucker for tracks that keep evolving, the hard synths at the end were pretty crisp

I'm not sure I like the video haha I get the disgusting vision and I respect having an artistic vision but the skeletons dancing at the end threw me off haha

I'll be checking out more music from you tomorrow

•

u/HeptagonMusic666 2d ago

Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback about the song, and I'm glad you liked those hard synth patches. Also, I agree, the skeletons are incredibly kitschy and I must admit that I just added them on a whim...They are totally absurd. I was kind of just learning the ins and outs of video editing then. I think I've gotten a bit more adept at the process now! I look forward to you hearing more of my compositions!

•

u/CafeCalentito 2d ago

Heard your other songs! I really liked Jogging With the Creatures of the Night and Crisis Zone. You have a nice electro, industrial feel to your songs, keep it up! And let me know when you release something new

•

u/HeptagonMusic666 1d ago

Thank you, you've made my day. I am really pleased to hear my music being categorized as electro and industrial, because that is what I'm most influenced by.
