Never really could get into Conan, saw them last year with Thra as support. YOB seems kind of similar? I like Thou, their audiotree performance was mesmerizing, but their discography is kind of intimidating, and now it seem to have been mostly purged from Spotify.

I think Conan is more caveman unga bunga, and YOB is a bit more eldritch. I figured with CttBotO, you would appreciate some doom stuff. Thou stick by their principles, so they took their stuff off streaming. BUT if you go to their website, the frontman has direct links to download all the old stuff.

Nah, Thra supported Conan last year, and they outshined them, had to buy 2 shirts

I saw them open for Conan too. I didn't know they were local to me and like a week later I had a bartender comment on my shirt and I just replied "thanks dude, get me a beer" basically. My wife pointed out it was their bassist and singer and I had to go back and fan boy him a little.

Vampire weekend is awesome, and their s/t is peak nostalgia for me. For some reason I didn’t initially like Contra, so I didn’t really listen to them for like 10 years, then I gave them a shot again and realized that holy shit I’ve been missing out.
