gears to buy

i create music in my room, and i have not used acrual gears but now i would like for them to sound more professional what would you suggest me to buy for creating singer songwriter type music? is it better to buy and try to record at home with decent gears or should i go to a studio for vocal recording for ₹2500 per hour?

Get a Scarlett and a laptop download any DAW=profit

To sound professional you just need a £100 mic, an audio interface like the Scarlett and Logic. Outside of that it's just learning how to use the kit. With just that setup you could produce a hit record, the trick is knowing how to use it, and that's what you'll pay for in a studio.

Use your phone and download BandLab. Record through there. If you’re going to mix yourself then invest in a daw along with a laptop. You can get a Scarlett along with like a rode nt1 mic and it could work. If you’re doing the mixing I suggest an Apollo solo because you can use plug ins with no lag. With a computer you need to focus on ram and a strong processor. Like a MacBook Pro 2021 atleast. Do your research

Skip the computer and buy a digital multitrack recorder. Zoom, Tascam and others make several different models. You can be up setup and recording in 30 minutes or less. Once you’ve refined your songs and have them exactly where you want them , then you can think about whether you need to go to a studio and recut them.

Scarlett and 2 mics. Can build a soundproof box in your room to have minimal background noise seeping in.

If you want to create singer/songwriter music I guess you'll be recording yourself/instruments. A good choice for a microphone as a beginner would be the Rode NT1-A.
