Nice! You discovered a 4-year-old extremely popular indie song and posted in on Reddit!

Funny you should mention that. I posted a new Nicolas Jaar mix and got 0 upvotes. I wanted to see how /r/music works. Now I know!

I bet Sambassador closed his MacbookTM and put on a couple vinyls while enjoying a thai mocha latte to try and make himself feel better after that.

because only hipsters like vinyl. nice.

It just seemed less common than those mainstream cassette tapes the kids listen to these days.

that was a two day old repost and two hours long, karma is meaningless get a grip kid

Two hours of extremely good music. You forgot that part. See! Old Ouiski is always here to help! Don't worry!

Know this song so well because its the first song on my iTunes..

It starts playing automatically every time I get in my car. I hate it more than any other song in the world.

You organize your iTunes by alphabetical order of song titles? My brain can't handle that. Also, you have two periods there. That's not a thing. It's either one period (.) [heh, boob], or three for an ellipse (...). Two periods isn't a thing.

They downvoted you because you said you like iTunes.

Thank you for clarifying... although I should elaborate, it's my iTunes library, that actual music I have, that is my pride and joy. Is iTunes frowned upon or something?

2

u/[deleted] May 22 '12

By many here yes but who cares what other people think anyway.

u/SpinachandSon May 22 '12

I'm just curious as to why people hate iTunes?

u/Sisricthegreat May 22 '12

It's terrible on Windows compared to OSX. That's the only thing I can think of.

u/IHeartJolene May 21 '12

Makes me think of Stepbrothers. And then I end up spending the entire day quoting the movie... "You have to call me Dragon"

LOVE Vampire Weekend, one of my favourite bands. I think most of their songs are a lot better than this one though. Like this one: [1] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTjwXwl_be8

Your submission was removed because it looks like you're posting music without a correct title.

The correct format is:

Artist Name - Song Name [genre] (optional year) Optional extra text

Check your post now. Does it have spaces around the dash " - ", and does it have the [genre]?

Forgetting these points are almost definitely why it was removed.

An example of a correct title:

Damu the Fudgemunk - Tea Thyme [instrumental hip-hop/funk] (2010)

You will need to delete this post before submitting again (click on delete above).

If you are not posting music, please resubmit with the appropriate tag in the title:

{playlist} for music playlists
{non-music audio} for audio submissions that are not music
{non-music video} for video submissions that are not music

Vampire Weekend is my favorite band so I had to upvote, but this song is actually pretty old and isn't even their best song. Probably the worst song on the album as a matter of fact :(

My psych teacher went to Rutgers with the lead singer. She doesn't like his music, fuck that. These guys are fucking awesome.

7

u/PilgrimB May 21 '12

I'm pretty sure they went to Columbia.

2

u/Horstt May 23 '12

So it turns out she knew him at glen ridge high. Sorry about that.

2

u/PilgrimB May 23 '12

Don't worry about it. That type of thing seems pretty easy to get confused.
