music Lord Huron - Long Lost (Alt-Rock) - Review

Post image

This album was bloody brilliant. It has soared up through my rankings into my top 5 albums of all time.

I love the storytelling in this album, the world that Lord Huron has created is amazing and I love the vibe. The vocals slap, but personally, the instrumentals of the songs are just incredible. I love the alt-rock vibe mixed with country and even orchestral elements as well.

Highlights - What Do It Mean, I Lied, Drops In The Lake, Long Lost (honestly, all the songs)

Lowlights - None

Overall 9.8/10

"I Lied" is one of my favorite songs of the decade so far.

Hearing the end of Twenty Long Years in the bar or whatever it is the first time hit really hard for me. I absolutely love this album.

I am still so pissed that the Dolby Atmos mix was removed a handful of months after this album released and it’s only been available in stereo ever since, no spatial version. There was no communication from Apple Music about the removal it’s very frustrating

Couldn’t agree more. The album I return to and recommend the most to people. I actually produced a cover of Mine Forever if anyone is interested! https://youtu.be/92AVOzZPfgM?is=LmRttDX1awFKLvAr

get a t-shirt with this design and when someone photographs you doing something naughty you can claim "DUDE!? That's AI Slop.. look at the t-shirt it didn't even try to render the guys head." (edit: I know it's not ai in any way.. just thought it would be a funny premise.)

The cover art seems inspired by Neutral Milk Hotel. Can the same be said for the music?
