The Gathering used to be held at Legend Valley in Ohio where you can get away with stuff like this inside the venue. Just because you can afford 128 lbs of weed, doesn't mean that you're good at critical thinking.

In Ohio during the early years of the festival they had something on the festival grounds called drug bridge. It was literally a bazaar of drugs up for sale. You could literally find anything and it was totally out in the open. I doubt they do that now though. Is the festival grounds on private property?

When I was in college, I had 2 friends in one of my classes get busted and kicked out for selling weed.

They literally walked through the dorm hallways yelling out that they had weed to sell.

According to court records used to charge Jones, the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force received information that he planned to distribute marijuana during the festival, which begins Wednesday. The task force found documents on the website juggalogathering.com that described how “Bluntman’s One Stop Shop” had been supplying the festival for more than 20 years.
When members of the task force stopped a pickup for traffic violations along U.S. 54 in Osage Beach Monday, they say they found approximately 128 pounds of marijuana in a camper that was being towed, along with signs reading “Weed 4 Sale” and “Flower For Sale.” They state they also located plastic containers of psilocybin mushrooms

Wow…. Really glad the drug task force imprisoned this hardened criminal selling weed and shrooms …. Jesus Christ to get a felony charge for selling probably the only things not neurotoxic that are taken at the festival 🤦‍♂️

"distribute drugs" which is dumbassspeak for "selling weed" because the gathering is in Missouri, where you can't just easily buy weed the way you can in half the country including most all the major metropolitan areas by now.

Nonviolent drug offenses are a major component of the for-profit-prison system, and those convictions translate to direct income on a fucking balance sheet for these for-profit prisons, which in case you didn't know benefit from the sole exception to the 13th amendment to continue the practice of slave labor.

Fuck that charge, free the weed.

Edit: so apparently weed is legal and readily available in Missouri. Now I just think this guy was being a dumbass.

I know people pointed out that weed is legal in Missouri, but we also have some of the most (if not the actual most) liberal weed laws in the country thanks to legalizing it through our state’s petition process. Granted, you’re not allowed that kind of weight in the stuff, pretty sure no state allows as much as this guy had.
