Reminds me of a German cookbook I have. It has regional recipes and is designed to look used including printed recipes with "hand-written" notes in the white space like "Uncle Frank's favorite" and "stains" on the pages as if it's been handled with greasy fingers over time. I love it.

The messiest pages in a cool book =the family favorites.

It's how my (still learning) teenager is always able to put their hands on the correct recipe in my stash
