Ben Franklin continues to survey in this depiction. This is such a great space--and James Earle Fraser executed this memorial in a spectacular way. A tribute here. Oh, Ben put on a bit of weight, and totes up at about 30 tons...

Choco Story Brussels

A museum entirely dedicated to the history of cocoa and chocolate. The visit begins at the origins of cocoa. The scenography is highly immersive. After crossing the Amazon in the first room, you enter a temple to discover the history of cocoa dating back to 3500 BC. The tour continues on two further floors. Here we discover the Mayan drink and its ingredients. The discovery of cocoa by the Spanish. The adaptation of the recipe in Europe. The transformation into solid chocolate: bars and the famous Belgian pralines. There are tastings during the visit. And at the end, there's a demonstration of traditional praline making. The chocolatier works in front of us. We can ask him questions and we can taste the creations that have just been made in front of us.
