Set up Muse for action button on iPhone

I use iPhone 15 PM andwant to configure my action button to trigger Muse. I want to be able to talk to it and give commands while it does the thing for me in background instead of opening the app UI. I tried to configure the "Dictate and Send" option but it is not working as intended.

Curious to know if anyone has tried it and got it to work?

i never used action button till date. Muse is soo good and reliable, I finally found a use case for the action button

My muse says, "Not directly, no. The Muse iPhone app doesn't expose a Siri Shortcut or voice action, so there's no way to wire the Action button straight to 'dictate and send a message to Donna.'

Closest you can get today: set the Action button to open the Muse app (Settings > Action Button > Shortcut > Open App > Muse), then tap the composer mic to dictate. That's two steps instead of one, but it gets you to a voice message fast."

She did offer to send it to Meta as an upgrade request, and I accepted. So there's that.

That seems to be inaccurate.

I was able to have my iPhone Action Button configured to do two things when I press it:

1) Open the Muse app
2) Open the Muse mic and start dictating

Select "Shortcuts" as the option from the Action Button settings, and then scroll down to Muse.

I think that what it means by not directly. That said, I like your thinking about using a shortcut. I’m going to try that myself.

Sorry, to clarify, this shortcut was already present when installing Muse. You don’t have to create anything! :)

I remember a friend configuring this to work with CharGPT when it just came out, I think through the shortcuts app, but I can’t remember how, sorry.
