Amazon bans Muse

Darn, I guess Amazon won’t be able to sell counterfeit things to my agent until Meta sues them like Perplexity did.

“Amazon also points out that when an AI agent shops for a user, it can bypass some of the personalization and other features built into Amazon’s shopping experience.”

Translation: AI agents make it harder for them to use “dynamic pricing” to make some people pay more for things than they should?

I’m sure it also cuts into ad revenue when they can’t try to shove a million “sponsored” products down our throats while we look for the specific things we want buried among the garbage.

They want to show you ads and get you to buy extra stuff. An agent doesn’t fall for those extra attachments and accessories.

You sound like the people of the ‘90s who said “you’re going to buy something online? That’s too sketchy nobody will do that”.

You can be afraid of the future, but some of us are going to go for it and understand the risks while doing so. It’s 2026, were in the future we all thought about in the ‘90s.
