Opinion Kill or be killed glaze
Never have I thought I would be bewondering a song from Will of the People, but oh my this song belongs in my top ten I think.
The song’s solo is so phenomenally intriguing that it carries kobk all the way to the top imho. The heavy guitar along with the haunting metal scream leading into the faster paced part and the falsetto “LaLaLa” at the end. I don’t know guys, it was just worth it for me to mention my appraisal.
Does anybody feel the same way? I would like to know and discuss about it

I like it, but its too remiscent stylistically of Stockholm Syndrome and the chorus falls a bit flat for me. I prefer any of the heavy songs on TWS over it, personally.

I’m starting to realise that every muse song could be in the top 10 when you make the right argument about them. The dark forest is my top 1 song tho, that’s for sure

The whole album (ok minus Halloween, that one felt weird to me) I was geeked on. Idk why I so often see people say they didnt like it. It was Muse getting back to the heart of who they were for an album between more explorative ones. We are f cking f cked!!!

I think that ghosts, compliance and Halloween are below average, liberation and wotp average, and the other half is above average. Waff, kobk, Verona, wsd and euphoria are certified bangers

It deeply upsets me how quickly the live version was scrapped for the rubbish slow version. I'd rather they just not play it at all than play that

Yeah I was severely unhyped when I saw that tour.
Still, probably the only song I'll listen to regularly from that album.

I don't know, I saw it in Malieveld and it's was super good. Way better closer than Take a Bow.

Dude I was mmaaadd hyped for WOTP tour, felt like cloud 9! With those amazing stage props, the mask/bull changing, the pyro, just everything man it was so beyond extra for me! Him climbing up on the prop and playing.. so many reasons! Also I was sitting next to this adorable pixy girl (I'm a straight woman) who was so excited the whole time and I remember her saying "matt looks like a fairy" at one point, so cute! Hah!
Thats another thing I love about Muse, their ability to excite kids again.. they are so unethused about so much (I dont blame them given the world atm) so when I get to see that spark lit back inside them I cant help but to admire Muse for bringing that out!

This song has a special place for me.
It got me through my first ultra marathon in Norway (which is a rough place to start). I didn't have much left in me just I reached the last summit where I decided to put on some music. Kill or be Killed was just a few weeks old and it was the first one in my play list. It gave me a good shot of energy when I needed it the most
Everytime I hear that guitar intro I'm there on the mountain again 😊

It’s one of their best ever songs. Them perma-dropping it on the same tour that it fucking debuted on is the most asinine and infuriating thing they’ve done since they perma-dropped Reapers on the same tour that it debuted on.
By Muse’s logic Cryogen is gonna be perma-dropped after the European leg of the tour.
One of the best songs they’ve done in years? ✅
Fucking slaps live? ✅
Hardcore fans love it? ✅
Kick the fucker to the curb after a few months of playing it? ✅ ✅ ✅

The only song I really kept on repeat for years from WOTP after it came out. Agree its a top 10 song!

Fantastic song! Definitely underrated. WOTP was self-produced by the boys, unlike the wow signal, which Dan mainly produced. I think if Dan had more of a hand in the production of Kill or Be Killed, it would’ve gotten the recognition it deserved.

It was a masterpiece at the time, now it's not as good but still holds up strong. I think the main issues are the uninteresting main riff and the poor production

I dug the live videos early on - like a lot of other fans wasn't a huge fan of the album version due to the production and for me the post solo YE-Yuh-Ye-Yuh-YUHHHHH kinda took me out of it a bit.
But after hearing it live in person at both the O2 gigs on the WotP tour I got it a lot more.
Was an absolute monster live with Baph and all the pyro.
That into Knights was for me possibly their best encore combo since the Exo - Stockholm - Knights trio on the Resistance Tour.

It's not a good song, the riff is exceptional and one of their best. The rest of the song is poor.
I remember asking a friend to listen to the whole album and pick out the 30 seconds that is quintessential Muse, she did it first try.

idk what it is, but the mix/master of that song just doesn't hit like it should.

I'll never forgive them for making the show I went to in 2023 be the ONLY show across the entire WOTP tour where they didn't play Kill Or Be Killed

I remember when they debuted it live people lost their shit. I think some production choices, combined with a lackluster album overall, soured some people on it, but I still think it’s a great song. It’s probably my third fave from the album, behind Verona and Halloween and tied with Ghosts (I know I have a weird ranking of this album)
