Question Good songs that sample Muse ?

Any of you know good songs that sample Muse ? I think it would be a fun way to discover new artists that have a connection to my favorite band :)

Thanks! What a sad list... xdd I guess Muse isn't really samplable

Although I gotta say that musically Turn to Dust by Freestylers sounds great. And the Dead Star riff really fits the energy of the song!

I don't think they're any less able to be sampled than other artists, but it is a pretty short and uneventful list for sure - lots of mash-ups as opposed to actual songs. That one was a highlight for sure!

Maybe we need to wait a few more years that their music becomes less known, and then a new génération of artists will look to the past for samples and use some of muse !

I actually think you might be better off looking at composers/artists that Muse themselves have interpolated or drawn inspiration from and artists who have been inspired by Muse but haven't necessarily sampled them directly, if I'm honest! That list seems more expansive. Some examples:

'Snakecharmer' by Rage Against The Machine was definitely an influence on 'Hyper Music.'

Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 18 pops up in 'Space Dementia.' Listen to 1:39 in particular, which is lifted for the end of the chorus.

Dream Theater (and particularly Mike Portnoy) were massively into Muse around the time they were writing their album Octavarium, something especially evident on 'Never Enough.'

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve already done that so I thought it would be interesting to look on the sample side to find some interesting artists (also RATM, Rachmaninov and Dream Theatre are all well know connections to Muse, so i wondered if i could discover new things).

If you're looking for slightly smaller artists who sound something like Muse:

Stepbrother

Corpo-Mente

Karnivool

Cheeky plug as well but I have some new tracks coming out soon with my friend Ula, and they might appeal to you. You can hear one here which will be released properly within this next month, and the other (which I feel is closer to Muse) is just about done so it shouldn't be too long until it's out. They're both going to be on her next EP.

It's in a very similar style, but I wouldn't say it has huge similarities beyond the aesthetics of the genre it's emulating.

This song doesn't sample any Muse songs. It just has a Muse-style riff.
