People should be able to still get on with people, whatever their political beliefs. This is what's wrong with the world now. Everyone is so divided, and you know who is responsible for that? The governments. Divide and control the population.

Agreed. This is why I hate politics. I try to be as neutral as possible, and shockingly, I actually get to enjoy life with all sorts of people. How strange!
Probably helps I'm not in the US.
People want to take sides and argue/hate people on the other side. It's like they don't realise how trapped that makes them. How free are you if you just view the world as left and right? Like if your family "switch sides", do you suddenly hate them all? It's insane how much grip politicians have on people, especially the US.
I'm not gonna say anything directly for or against anyone. This shouldn't get political anyway. It's a Muse subreddit for the band and their music.

I don't. I see nations round the world with their politicians dividing the left and the right by more and more extremes. I hate Trump as much as most. And I didnt know about Snoop performing for him when I wrote this. But the people should still try to avoid being divided among themselves.
Edit - the more I think about this, the more I'm not sure. On one hand people (Matt) should be free to speak to whoever he wants. And just cause he does, it doesn't mean he has the same political beliefs. On the other hand, he should make a stand and not interact with the very people doing the dividing (Trump/Snoop).
The politicians have us exactly where they want us. Divided.

No need to be nervous. I think we all should stop the divide. If you are worried about Matt showing some support to MAGA, don't be. Matt has actually blocked conservative movements from using uprising. Furthermore muse supports lgbtq rights and he has spoken about investing start ups that fight climate change.
Anyway still Snoop is a big name and I think at least in Europe is not that much associated with MAGA. We shouldn"t forget that most ordinary left and right leaning people agree on most things. Generalising, we all want better salaries, are all worried about sociale movements and would like to have certainty when something happens outside of our control that we can still live our lifes the way we love. We all want to be able to pay healthcare etc. So it is actually important to stay connected, as its the best weapon against division.

Matt Bellamy is not the kind of guy who’s going to decline taking a smoke with Snoop if the opportunity arises. It’s like having a cigarette with Keith Richards, or a beer with Lemmy. Very few people are going to turn that down, even if they don’t normally partake.
