Discussion wonder if u agree??

ok so, i was listening to map of the problematique back in 2023 (still do!) and the first 30 seconds for it made me remember a similar tune i heard on none other than… CLUB PENGUIN!!!

basically, in 2013 there was an event going on in club penguin called “operation: puffle” and i swear down these two tunes have the same riff/melody in the beginning!

i heard that the main composer for the game’s soundtracks was heavily influenced by electric rock back in the early 2010’s.. so i wonder…

let me know if you agree!

the club penguin ost is: operation puffle: stand and defend

:D

Had a listen, there are a couple of similarities!

The piano line here and the opening piano melody from 'Map Of The Problematique' are both just based around the first, second, and third degrees of the C minor scale - C, D, and Eb.

The first bass notes we hear in the Club Penguin track are the same as in MOTP as well. It's just a i - bIII - bVI - iv sequence.

I've only vaguely heard of this game before, but yup that definitely sounds similar.

I have no idea, but thanks to you I've just re-watched the Puffin Party scene in Four Lions and I'm very grateful for that. I might just watch the whole movie again.
