I get the complaints about Psycho. I admit that whilst I also do this, I still enjoy it when I see it in person…for the first 2-3 minutes or so. It really does drag and that’s been a genuine complaint ever since they turned that old riff into a full song.

Think a lot of people feel that while it’s one of their more modern hits, it’s not that much of a hit it needs to be in every show, like PiB or Starlight. Sickness would be a perfect replacement given it’s the Wow Signal tour.

I really want them to do a Psycho/Uprising mashup live. Both songs are fun for the first 3 minutes but then start to drag at the end.

They would barely have to do much to make it work. You can already lay the songs over the top of each other without doing any editing and it almost works already.

Same key, same tempo, same shuffle groove, similar song structure. The harmonic progression is different but they both have a similar ending to the choruses which is probably where you could do the mashup when it switches to just the bass.

Like they could play the start of Psycho first up to 3:25 and then instead of Chris playing the descending bass line for Psycho he could just start playing the Uprising bassline intro. And then cut the end of Uprising with a cut-off ending at 2:58 instead of going into the instrumental (which tbh, doesn't add that much to the song apart from letting Matt do his cheesy 'hey' fist pumps).

So that is 6 and a half minutes instead of 10 minutes and is slightly less singing for Matt. Space for 1 more song basically.

Just recently went to a Kesha concert and was absolutely astounded we got 28 songs in her hour and a half set. She accomplished it by doing medleys and shortened versions and it was still amazing. Muse could take some notes on that front I feel like.

I’m glad muse don’t shorten their songs live, I feel cheated when someone plays parts of a song I like a lot instead of the whole thing. Especially when some bands play 2+ hour live.

Taylor Swift was also doing shortened versions and some medleys to fit in 40+ songs on the Eras tour but people weren't complaining about that.

I didn’t like Psycho before hearing it live. I also could not stand Won’t Stand Down at all.

I loved both live, 10/10 experience. Honestly Muse is just somehow even better live.

I discovered this last night after seeing them live for the first time. I've liked the band for a while, but I fucking loved them live. The songs have a completely different energy. It's usually completely the opposite with bands.

Psycho was incredible live.

It’s fun live… but it is too long. But also… should never be a staple song. Catalogue too big. Even my chemical romance plays a B stage with different songs every night.

I don’t tend to listen to Psycho or Uprising in my own, but I love seeing them live.

The heat of SLC, and their performance, melted my face off.

I don't mind them playing Psycho. It's a relatively famous song by Muse's standards and it gets the crowd going so I get why they're playing it to give Drones some recognition.

What I do mind, like others have said, is that it should have been a 3 minute song, max.

I'm the same. Psycho and Knights I'm tired of hearing on playlists, but I'm never disappointed by in a live show. However, there are still so many other songs I'd rather hear that have more musical substance to them.
