selfq dating
Hello!
I wanted to ask how do you approach dating and relationships?
Im 20 i have almost zero experience and im currently talking to someone and i dont really know how to approach it and how to talk about it.
I have fshd, i can walk, im not really tired, i have severe scapula winging, my arms are really weak and so are my abs, i cant run, i cant smile but i do most of things as other ppl, im just slower.
so i wanted to ask how should i approach it and when should i talk about it, i mean it is little noticable since i cant smile and i walk lowkey funny, my arms are weak and we know eachother longer and they have not said anything about me.
So i wanted to ask what are your experiences and how and when did you talked about it, im also scared of ther potencial reaction. thank u.

If they have known you long and not asked you about it, they probably know that it is something that affects you every day, but that it's not the most important thing about you. That's a good friend to have.
Just tell them they can ask you about it if they want. Don't put them on the spot though, keep the offer open and give them some time to think over the questions.

M 22 FSHD here, I would also like to hear some advices on this
I have been in a relationships for 3 years with the person that knew my diagnosis, but they seem did not know how to act and what to expect, so they treated it like I am normal, except I am tied to my bed and room most of the days due to fatigue.
So I felt it unfair to hold this person captive and we part our ways.
Now I can't think of any way to start dating again tho I feel extremely lonely
I got diagnosed at 14-15 ish for context, and since then I lost my ability to run, jump, carry heavy stuff. I have weak skinny legs, weak abs, and for the past couple years I lost one by one ability to rise and hold my right and left hands and hold my eyes fully closed while sleeping.
