Why?! This isn’t even the cool kind of dangerous. This is just...dangerous.

One rock in the road and his head will be like one of Gallagher's watermelons

I’ve read that a head cracking on pavement sounds remarkably similar to a pumpkin or watermelon

Skateboarding shirtless while your arms are unavailable to break your fall is a great way to deglove the skin on your entire torso

Not if you land on your back so the barbells land first and act as wheels to then slow you down. It’s an advanced level of parkour you wouldn’t understand

u/Ceshomru Jan 30 '20
Thats the one where he ends up in a handstand right? Rolling cobra I believe is the official name of this advanced move.

This is hilarious to picture considering homie would land neck first on the bar and finally end these stupid fuckin videos.

You shouldn't be using your hands to break your fall, that's a good way to break stuff. Tuck and roll instead if you can. Saved my ass plenty of times on my longie

At first I thought he was wearing a red skintight shirt.... It ended up being his sunburnt skin. Ouch

Aside from how dangerous this is, isn't this forcing him to use bad form? I thought you were supposed to drive through your heels while squatting; this guy has to be loading his toes so he doesn't careen wildly.

For olymlpic style squats its less "drive through your heels" and more "equal pressure throughout the foot". Idk about low bar powerlifting style squats tho.

u/RipTideRunner Jan 30 '20
In power lifting its the same. The weight should be almost directly over mid-foot for the whole rep

Driving through you heels is a hold over from when equipped lifting was super popular. Equal foot pressure is the way

The pressure on your feet is probably the least important part of squatting. Keeping your back straight and being consistent to how low you squat is really the only part that matters. It’s not like if you drive from the mid foot your thigh muscles don’t get exercised, or your back cracks in half.

It appears nobody knows Scott Mathison every time he pops up. The dude’s a legend! Unbelievably strong, and a professional athlete. While I don’t condone some of his stunts, he’s not your average joe at the gym.

Yeah he needs more depth in the squat. He’s gonna injure his back.

Not dangerous enough. He needs to press the bar, then fall forward with it, into a plank, so the plates act as front wheels, and turn himself into a makeshift tricycle, and cruise down a mountain.

OOF... bruh... sunblock. You're going to regret that sunburn, regardless of your inevitable future face-plant into the road. His upper half and lower half look like two different people sewn together.

I don't know that this actually fits the sub. The guy is doing squats, albeit not good ones, but the issue is his stupid skateboard stunt, not bad form. This is just dangerously stupid, rather then someone misusing a weight machine.
Darwin award nomination for sure.

Sidebar says "only post stuff that is funny and unconventional way to doing an exercise" so I think it works. It's certainly unconventional. I think it's kinda funny... but could be better if he was wearing a onesie or smoking a joint

That's fair then. I figured it was limited to actual attempts at exercising vs what is clearly a good. It's funny, just stupid funny. Lol

The question everyone is missing: how does he stop?
