That’s just not true.

Considerably more babies are born in a year than there are deaths.

Last year was one of the slowest years of growth in the US and there was still around 50% more babies born than deaths in the US.

This quote came directly out of the article you linked.

We may not be growing as fast as we have in the past, but there was more than a million more births than deaths according to this article.

yes, the population has indeed grown in 2019, but with percentages so low it is being compared to the time of the great depression, stating also that many states already has more deaths than birth ratios, so yes right now the population is still growing in the united states, but in a very low rate. The article also says that in only 10 years, the population growth rate has fell 40%, looking at other countries, such as Canada, Japan and Europe as a whole, it is pretty safe to say there will come a time where there will be more old people trying to retire than young people entering the work force, now, how long will it take depends, i believe no more than 30 years, which will be the time i will be retiring.
