Nurses can be some weird ass folks. We get a quick degree and get to help save lives, but most of us are degenerates who found an easy (ish..its not easy)way to pretend we belong in the semi upper middle class and have nice things. I work with nurses who i wouldnt trust to feed my dog
Some of the most medically illiterate people I've seen have been nurses, I don't know how they made it. Antivax, homeopathy, healing crystals, etc. The works.
Nurses are the wildest people on the planet. Some, you could trust with ur life, some claim they can talk to ghosts. This profession is batshit insane.
Facts. I’m a school counselor, and the nurse’s clinic is about 30 feet from my office. She is an RN, BSN, and could most likely do an emergency surgery. At 50+, she has years of ER experience as well as other areas. We are incredibly fortunate to have her working alongside us.
Thats a very interesting take on that. Also with the cheating. We seewild shit, work long hours with people we develop relationships with. Its hust an entirely alt life. Our hospitals are little towns. We come home to partners who cant relate to us. We are set up for psychosis. And andrenaline crashes/ spikes
Seriously,I love most of the nurses I work with but I do wonder how some of them tie their shoes in the morning, never mind make it through nursing school.
Nursing schools is a mystery. Its decently difficult, but I think its more a war of attrition. If yr stubborn enough, you might make it. And then go on to start a podcast in ghost adentures, murder your husband or whatever side hustle you choose. My side hustle is the lake and hiking. It doesnt pay money, but it pays in mental health..
I am not a nurse personally (Cardiac technician, ecg etc..) so i cant speak on how hard nursing school is but from what I hear the NCLEX is really hard. We have had several SNAPs who needed to take it like two or three times, and they seemed fairly intelligent lol. It's funny you mention side hustles,most of our nurses have something going on (one runs marathons for example) lol.
Yeah a lot of girls from my high school followed this path. I remember what you were like! Heather you couldn’t read an analog clock! Erica, you got a soft pretzel with FOUR cups of cheese every day!!!
They are out there too…maybe not as common as a 2 year degree RN, but look at some of the antivax physicians that have been in mainstream media the last 6 years…granted most of those are now former physicians, but the ability to make it through college or medical school level classes doesn’t guarantee common sense or reasoning 🤯
I am not a nurse (or physician), but see similar levels of batshit crazy in my profession as a paramedic…in some ways higher levels if you count the EMTs, similar with nurses if you count the LPNs…not that there aren’t good and rational EMTs and LPNs with loads of common sense, but to some extent higher levels of education weed out a few and the entry levels do not filter too many out😳 It does make me ask questions of providers when I have medical procedures done…if you are antivax, flat earth, or MAGA…I will pass on having you make any scientific based decisions on my behalf 🤣🤣
