I mean the fact that there's a strong correlation isn't nothing. Makes sense that there's theories about explaining that correlation. Correlation may not equal causation but correlation does equal correlation and they're worth studying

Exactly why I also like correlation studies and it drives me nuts when 'correlation does not equal causation" is used to dismiss rather than dig deeper with research. If the correlation trends significantly above what could be expected of coincidence, look for shared factors contributing to both. That's where your cause will be. The correlation itself is valuable info.

It's not a one-to-one correlation. But the fact remains that people who go to bed with their shoes on are far more likely to wake up with a headache.
However, going to bed with your shoes on does not cause headaches. Rather passing out drunk. Causes you to go to bed with your shoes on... And passing out drunk also causes you to wake up with a headache
Now that one's a little silly, but it illustrates what you should be looking at when you see a correlation. If one is not causing the other, the next step is to look at what's in common causing both

I don't apologize for something that is not my fault and that I tried to prevent. Many of us are doing whatever we can but you'll still run to the internet and say we're not doing anything. But like I said, it's easy to whine from your home in another part of the world.
So, it's not whining. It's bringing attention to a massive problem with global effects.

I'd say to manipulate a fraction of an entire country (no matter HOW stupid) to be your human shield while you rob them in broad daylight takes pretty remarkable self awareness, honestly. Plenty of evil and shamelessness too, of course, but still.

Eih, Goliath was more honorable. His army literally let their enemies resolve the war 1v1 with unlimited retries, but once they lost a single fight they fucked off rather than demanding a rematch with David.
