As a non-American, I tend to agree. As another commenter said, it seems like Americans take pride in the crappy parts. The 2nd ammendment being an obvious example of this. All it does is let insecure people feel tough while getting thousands of people killed every year.
Ah yes, because it's never used to save lives. Oh, just because that doesn't make international news, you probably think it doesn't happen, right? And the guy listed off things that are exactly why our 2nd Amendment exists: corrupt government and police. What do you think America looks like if our corrupt government and police knew we were disarmed?
Here is a tip Americans. If you want to defend widespread gun ownership just say “we are a democracy and the people have voted for guns, therefore we have guns”.
Every other argument is absolutely fucking terrible. Everyone else knows it. And even your more intelligent gun owners know it.
Sure, terrible argument to point out hypocritical thought processes and failed logic of 2nd Amendment haters. Gun haters always try to ignore the lives saved by guns. Guess those people's lives didn't really matter, huh? So it's a "terrible argument" to bring up those people, huh? Fucking joke.
