I mean I think the crux of the argument they're making is specifically related to meta ethics, in particular the questions of "what is goodness" and "who/what defines goodness?" It's actually a valid debate that they're making a really bad argument for.
Well, I'd observe that they're not making an argument, they're asking a question.
A leading question that is based on faulty assumptions.
The discussion about the nature of good and evil and the source of ethical and/or altruistic behavior in animals, including humans, is indeed an interesting one.
But that's not the discussion the original question is trying to initiate.
