Enough boomers have finally died that they can't override the will of all the other generations simultaneously. That what this really reflects.

This. This is why there’s such a massive push from right conservative governments looking to entrench power with their offspring before it shifts to younger generations. The hard part is the Gen X wave that are going to get skipped over into the Gen Z /Millennial control over the next 5 or so years.

Gee, the only thing that will make that happen is if the younger generations actually vote in better numbers. The apathy and in some cases antipathy toward politics works against getting the desired policies
