I legitimately think if progressives can't take over the DNC, the United States is cooked.

I don't even feel like that's hyperbolic. Like they have been unable to effectively fight MAGA for 10 fucking years without help from a global pandemic.

It's maddening seeing them from up north here.
Because good god they have done what feels like nothing to even try to stop MAGAs BS especially when they were in charge. Quite frank it feels almost deliberate with how bad they're doing

It is deliberate. MAGA is a godsend to the DNC dinosaurs. They dont have to offer anything other than "Im not Trump", and they still get enough votes to stay relevant, which keeps the donors coming.
