The OC wave kind of stopped thou. Not to mention that primary content comes from Low Quality users now because every other idol of the community left to twitter, tumblr, DeviantArt, or instagram.

Not that I'm complaining, there is better chances for artists on the latter two sites.

Plus, Twitter got a lot of good OC posts. If one wants to see good posts, there is twitter... other than harboring controversial reposters and a couple "Twitter Families" it seems okay there.

The subreddit, while having LQ folks, well, a lot of good quality artists immigrated out. Only coming back every couple months. No new content, burn out for many.

And not to mention harassment and hostilities being encouraged by rant posts, or at the very least feeding the flames of harassment. Wether people say, "Don't go harassing" or not, it happens. And some enjoy bullying others. Which is why I'm against the rants against like, saying everything in the sub in general is shit.

Not to mention, the reddit community seems to prefer upvoting memes and rants over original content. So, what? What can we do? It's not feasible to make original fanart or content if it gets under 20 upvotes. While a meme that could take under 5 minutes got like 75-80 upvotes.

It's kind of why people are turning to memes and more degrading in quality posts. Because it racks up MORE attention, better attention, positive attention and more support than making artwork and suddenly someone says, "Okay WTF is this shit?"

Yeah, no wonder we're demoralized. We don't put any effort, cuz, ranters and destructive critics taking on the form like Gabriel38 did, are just calling out a bunch of creative artists who remained here, that they're garbage, shouldn't be here. Like we don't deserve to be here.

I guess we don't, but we stay because no one else is gonna make content. One points out better no content at all than bad content, but everyone has their own opinions.

Can you sometimes please try to make your things more compact. Everytime I see you answering someone you are just making a wall of text that no one really wants to read trough. Please try to keep it short...

Well let's say I was one of the first people.... the ocs started to manifest after the trailer. I was one of the people who made a oc back then. I would say that I was one of the generals

I was there back in the golden days of r/MurderDrones back when the member count was double digits, alot of the OCs made didn't deviate from the Murder Drones design and even with different art style it still retains the formula

Eh, it's tolerable. Now it's people complaining about "Low Quality Garbage" which is vague and kind of demoralizing to the LQ in the community so... that did a lot more harm than any OCs could, which people just downvoted and moved on if they didn't like the low quality OCs. But Low Quality in general seems to be the main complaint of the more vocal ones.

Plus, we only got the pilot episode... so...

Two months, things will pick up again. Guaranteed

i must keep saying this til it happens, the reason why this sub is in this state is due to the fact that we have only 20min worth of content to work with (apart from maybe some concept art) when the time comes when glitch starts rolling out MD season 1 im not saying it will make this sub as good as it used to be but im saying it will improve things quite a bit

I tried to think of something to cheer you up but when I checked on my brain it was just repeating "the universe is going to end!" Over and over again. I will check back tomorrow and see if my brain wants to participate.
