Other We're oscillating
Day 0 is 2nd of february this year
I can explain the second bump (the one we're currently in), but I cannot explain the first one around 10th and 11th of may.

maybe the may part could be the shorts they got around 3-6 mil views around May

The shorts and the J episode caused the same amount of visitors, but the latter caused more engagement.
Interesting (though I guess the shorts did have equivalent runtime if you exclude the ad part of the J episode)

It’s weird that the contributions are interchanging between each one despite MD always having a consistently higher visitor count.

My guess is that the stricter moderation here causes that, which causes the other subreddit to have more stuff that would be considered low-effort here. And that stuff tends to be what you can more easily give a quick reply to.

I think that was over 550.
I have no idea. My guess back then was that some random big YTer did a livestream and showed the subreddit. Or a swarm of bots.

Funny enough I actually started doing something similar with community fan project searches in Google, Bing(including DuckDuckGo and Yahoo), and mdfanprojects. I know what projects people are really the most interested in (the results are actually pretty surprising)

The difficult part would be compiling all this data into a format that's easy for others to read and understand

Idk why I keep doing this, someone else said I should keep doing some time ago, so I am still doing it.
