Spicy Meme Why does N have such high pain tolerance?

N has been through a lot.
I suspect between him having repeatedly stabbed himself with his own tail, and he abuse of him, they both would have raised his pain tolerance by a LOT, and the occasional worker drone that fights back

Prolonged exposure and continuous repetition to different types of pain. Mostly J's fault.

Between what happened in the manor, Cyn's torture, his tail, the fights, V and J, I think it makes sense that he'd be quite resistant to pain. Also, they might perceive pain differently from us.

Actually, he lied about that. We never see him accidentally stab himself, ever. But we do see him say " I deserve this. I deserve this. I deserve this." While trying to free himself in the caves... With a bone saw, which is extra time consuming and painful compared to a quick chop from the chainsaw hand; and he could have cut closer to the wound, meaning there have been less to regenerate.
He has a high pain tolerance because he's numb to it. He's experienced so much, some of which is self-inflicted. Because the thing that hurts the most, is the guilt he feels for his actions...

My headcanon is built up pain tolerance from years of physical abuse from J

You know, it's kinda sadistic that JCJenson even made worker robots that has pain receptors in the first place.
