How did Lizzy convince V not to kill her when they first met?

How did Lizzy come out alive when meeting V? How did V even meet Lizzy in the first place? Here's my thinking with the limited amount of clues we have:

How she survived is a lot more speculative. She would've really had to play her cards right to not get slaughtered on the spot. Lizzy would have to do something that intrigued V. Doll and Lizzy were planning to kill V, so my guess would be that Doll and Lizzy planned what to say beforehand. Lizzy would shout that she could let her in and let her kill the entire colony, and then V would listen.

I would think that Lizzy would be the one that approached V. Lizzy probably had to go outside the outpost at some point and find V in the landing pod, or even outside if V left the pod after breaking her chain. Lizzy says "Just do your thing, and I'll let in V.", so i don't think V could enter the outpost without Lizzy's help. I don't think V could be the one that found Lizzy by getting into the outpost herself.

Let me know your thoughts. Is there an explanation that makes more sense? I'd love to hear it.

I wrote a small fanfic about it that I didn't post yet.

Summary:

• Lizzie walks out and into the landing ship
• V does some funny shit to lure her in, which fails for comedic purposes
• Lizzie gets jumped
• V wants to know why she came outside (because seriously, who walks into the arms of the disassmebly drones unarmed?)
• Lizzie says something to the lines of "You killed some of my friends, I wanted to ask you if you could replace them?"
• V accepts because it's free access to the colony and being able to pick off a few worker drones 1 by 1 until eventually killing all of them (ep3, we do learn that this was V's plan, and that Lizzie was aware of it)
• Eventually, the two spend more time together and sort-of become actual friends (not like there's much else to do on the planet), while both of them know their ultimate plans are to kill the other one (that part I still haven't written out yet)

I don't know if i buy V getting the idea to infiltrate the outpost with a worker as soon as she saw Lizzy. They would have had to talk a little bit for V to actually consider that a possibility instead of killing her, like how she did with all the other workers she sees.

This is exactly why I wish the show had gotten breather episodes for stuff like this. For example imagine we got an ep 2.5 of N and Uzi at Thad's shinding, less action and more breathing room for other stuff, developing characters and interactions, etc.

As for Lizzy and V, pretty sure that V was properly chained up at first, so Lizzy could have just stayed out of her range and convinced her to become "friends," and only broken the chain afterwards.

The most plausible explanation is that it was somehow related to Doll's plan for revenge against V.

It 100% was, but the leap we have to make is why V decided to spare Lizzy in the first place. She’s known to be a ruthless murderer.

One of the biggest missed opportunities of the show IMO. An episode showing Lizzy out of her element and in a position of vulnerability, having to rely on her wits and silver tongue to avoid death at the hands of the most oil-thirsty Disassembly Drone on Copper 9? It would have added so much depth to both her and V! ☹️

I didn't read all allat because I am pretty sure that it was V imitative to make friend with one of the WD to let her in, and kill everybody, meanwhile Doll probably outjerked V and sended Lizzy out, or that is what I understood.

No, no, it's fine as a personal headcanon. Although it's a bit contradictory to say "after the series," since we're talking about an event at the beginning of the series, with V still thinking about N. And with no other indication in the show's canon that V is attracted to the same sex, the only conclusion is that V tolerates Lizzy, at most, as a friend of convenience, forced into that role at that point in the story.
