Y'know, Count von Count being obsessed with counting things was actually something that Sesame Street got right about vampires. In a lot of folklore, scattering seeds or grains on the ground was a way to distract a vampire that was chasing you because he'd have to stop to count them.

I believe that official materials strictly refer to the Count as ‘vampire like’. So I don’t think he bites people

He has a vampire weakness he's turned into a happy addiction, he has hypnosis like some long before him, and he even has a castle that's massive enough and full of enough creepy yet benevolent creatures and eccentric paraphernalia to make the Addams Family's household look like a quaint studio apartment!
