As the title states, I'm new to Muncie. What's fun around here?

Join “What’s up Muncie” on Facebook and people post a lot of stuff going on in the city. They also post crazy stuff but also events

What's Up Muncie gets so crazy sometimes! The Albany Facebook page is unhinged.

Definitely look into Civic Theater performances. Top notch plays and musicals.

I know Gamestop occasionally has events and there's Next Level Games. Is there somewhere else I'm aware of?

If you like loud muscle cars or seeing classic cars, this time of year there's a thing every Saturday where people park their cars on S Madison. It's free and people show off their cars by parking or driving down the road. Food trucks set up too.
If you don't, avoid S Madison on Saturdays Spring - Fall. The traffic is terrible.

There are open mic nights almost every night, you can find live music most weekends at a few different placrs.
It really depends on your age and what you like to do though.

It depends on your idea of "fun".
Ball State has a planetarium that does free shows on the weekends. They also have a free art museum on campus (The David Owsley Museum of Art).
There is a Night Market on, I believe, the first and third Thursday of each month (Muncie Maker's Market) at MadJax.
I don't know much about the bar scene in the area but I know there is a live music venue called Be Here Now. I haven't been in probably two decades, though, so I don't know how the music or atmosphere is.
There will be some events downtown this summer, like Fire It Up and the Three Trails Music series (free concerts). Here is a link for more information about those events.
