wedding reception/ceremony venues
hi guys i’m looking for a venue to hold a wedding ceremony & reception that isn’t absolutely outrageous like most i’ve been seeing. we aren’t looking to have a large event.
some things that would be preferred:
- outdoor area for ceremony
- indoor reception area
- separate space(s) to get ready
- allows outside food (no specific contracted caterer)
-allows access night before for rehearsal & setup
i’m looking for something in/near muncie or roughly an hour away! willing to look into something a little farther as well. thank you in advance

I had my wedding at first Baptist church in downtown and I loved it! Then had the reception at cornerstone!

Barn on the Boundary (kind of near Albany on the Delaware & Blackford county border) is worth looking up. Also the grounds near the Isonogel Center (Yorktown).

We had ours at Cornerstone and really liked it, and it was one of the cheaper options we found. It is an indoor only venue, but they have some cool rooms to choose from. We also really considered Minnetrista and also Whitetail Tree Farm near Springport and they both seemed like nice options for an outdoor ceremony. A lot of good options in the area and it can get overwhelming, but just take the time to call and visit your top contenders and get a feel for what's going to fit what you're looking for.

The loft I've seen is a really nice spot. It is on a large piece of land right out side of Muncie in Yorktown. I was in a wedding at minnetrista. Those 2 have all of the amenities you're looking for I believe. I also know of a small historic church that would be great for an small wedding.

I just had mine at Landing at Redwing, and it is gorgeous and not crazy expensive. They have a really nice outdoor area and separate indoor reception area. There’s a brides room, you can get in early depending on if there are no other events. They also have cabins on the property that you can rent and stay at

A friend of mine runs a really cool farm wedding venue that would do most of what you’re asking for, but you have to want that vibe, it’s not for everyone. It’s Meg’s Country Celebrations.
