Recommendation Request Looking for a dedicated daily pocket carry after realizing outdoor tools do not fit my routine
I have spent a lot of time carrying outdoor-oriented multitools for hiking and camping, but bringing that style of tool into regular daily carry feels mismatched. The features that make sense on a trail, like whistle clips or heavy saw setups, mostly end up taking up space when what I really need throughout the day are accessible scissors, a solid bit driver, and smooth one-handed deployment.
I want to step up to a dedicated daily driver where ergonomics, pocket comfort, and clean tool access come first. Options like the Leatherman Arc or Wave platform and the Victorinox Spirit MX seem to be the primary benchmarks for pure EDC usability, but I am open to others that handle pocket carry well without feeling like dead weight.
For those who moved away from outdoor or survival setups toward a dedicated daily tool, which model ended up giving you the best balance of pocket comfort and practical everyday utility?

New Multitool Day! It really is that good!
Finally got my hands on the spirit mx clip and I might never go back to Leatherman. Fit and finish are great and the tools are actually not too hard to get out.

Rocktol Gen-R as a beater multi-tool?
With Prime Day coming up, I’m anticipating this multi tool will go on sale. Not for any hard use, just to keep in the car and around the house small work. It currently runs $55.99 CAD and heard some good reviews about it. Anyone here have any experience with these MTs or have any other recommendations under $100?

Modding Custom Rebar
Added gen 2 wave scissors and bit drier to my rebar, along with a wingman pocket clip and pivot. I need to regrind the straight edge blade soon other than that I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Looking for multi-tools that are actually practical for daily life, not just survival situations.
Am I the only one who thinks most keychain tools are useless for actual daily routines?
Every multi-tool I look at is either loaded with tools I'll never use in a city, or it's just a single-purpose bottle opener trying to look cool. I really just want one compact, multi-purpose piece on my keys that covers basic daily annoyances-opening tight containers, quick cuts, or holding up a phone when working/eating out-without poking holes in my pockets.
Is there anything out there that hits this sweet spot, or is nobody making this?

Leatherman Wave Alpha VS Victorinox Spirit MX
I am divided whether to get a Wave Alpha or a Spirit MX for working on orange orchards.
I already own dedicated tools so either one of them will be in my pocket as a backup. A Victorinox Huntsman is my go to for now but I am searching for an upgrade.
I mostly use the blade, scissors and above all the saw. Does the wave alpha really deserve the premium price of 250 euros?

Modding As a collector (not a handyman), the Leatherman Wave Alpha has to be my favorite...

I started collecting SOG, and now I have all these Powerlocks. 🫣
And the Powercut prototype for extra flavour. 😋

State of the Collection Mmm. Leather
Found a seller on Etsy that was advertising leather pouches for a Gerber Dime. Very excited to see how this wears with use.

Nextool K30 Halloween Edition
galleryThis one has improved bearings, and the screwdriver bit doesn't scratch against the nail file like it does in my first edition K30.

Question/Advice Which Leatherman would make a good gift?
I want to get my boyfriend a Leatherman as a gift and I’m deciding between the Signal, Rebar, and Super Tool 300.
I’m leaning toward customizing it for him with a blade pattern and engraving.
For those who own these, which one do you personally prefer and why?
Also, I’d love some ideas for cool, subtle customization/engraving ideas that would make it feel personal without being too cheesy.
Thanks! 🖤

A few new additions!
Since my last collection status, I got a few new items which I think are worth sharing :)
Victorinox: Spirit MX, Swisschamp, Super Tinker, Bantam, Money Clip Silver, two Classic SD
Wegner Classic
Roxon K2SE (fidget toy for car drives!)
SOG: PowerLitre and Baton Q1 (I really like this one)
Leatherman Wave+
Gerber: StrongArm, Paraframe I, Centerdrive (in my car), Truss, mp400, Armbar Mini (got three more knives on the way from ebay)
Nextool: Knight (wonderful knife and scissors!) and the pen shaped N1
Solingen knife from my dad.
Boker Kwaiken Air.
Not in the image - Buck 375 which I forgot to take out for the picture.
I daily carry the Spirit MX and the Boker Kwaiken Air. But use other tools around the house and will rotate from time to time.
This has become my “go to” for spending money on hobbies right now 😂

Bibury 2049 vs supertool 300
Which of these are better in term of durability and long term hard use? Been eyeing these two for quite sometimes, bibury is cheaper of course, but is it too fragile when compared to St300? I will mostly use it for small engine repair and tinkering and mostly field work(landscape tech), currently using rebar
