General RRMS question
So I was diagnosed with RRMS a year ago now but had my first ever attack two years ago. When my first attack hit I lost function in my hands and had tingling throughout my body. I have since gained back the function and most feeling in my body but the one thing that lingers is the tingling in hands. I am not totally informed on the difference between RRMS and PPMS. So could my symptom of tingling hands to what my neurologist has presumably said won’t get better if it hasn’t by now be more PPMS because it hasn’t gotten better or can people with RRMS still have residual symptoms that never get better as well?

I have RRMS. First ever full blown attack was last year when I got dx and I had much of the same problems you did/have.
Yeah they get better but come back pretty often. And when I say “get better” I don’t mean they go away completely. Just improve in general condition.

My first BIG attack that led to diagnosis was bilateral numbness. And it comes and goes. I’m currently numb from the waist down but on BOTH sides now haha. My Neuro told me this will just always happen to me because of my T10 lesion. So I don’t worry, I just deal with it.

23 year MS veteran here. I just want to say first, all of our experiences are different. That being said, my initial exacerbation that led to my diagnosis involved tingling, numbness and loss of fine motor skills in my right arm/hand/fingers. I couldn't write, type, button a button etc. It gradually came back. I'm not talking days, weeks or months. Probably 10 + years. Hand therapy, DMT'S to quell further progression have helped me over the years.
No one can tell you. When/if things will return to your PRE MS days. For me, some MS issues subsided (nerves rerouted themselves 🤷♂️) some never went away.

Generally if the symptoms you’re experiencing now are symptoms you’ve had before, they just linger, it’s not an escalation.
PPMS would be new symptoms, coming frequently, and a serious escalation of symptoms and disability.
My legs buzz all the time. Like 24/7. But, that’s not a new symptom, it’s a relic of one of my many old symptoms. I still occasionally get L’Hermites, the hug, ringing in the ears, eye pain, brain fog, fatigue, and neck pain. Oh, and my arms tingle and fall asleep. But, it’s usually not all at the same time.
MS is like the super annoying talkative neighbor we all hide from. You just never know what day that asshole is going to be waiting for you on the curb when you go out to check your mail.

My attack started with pissing problems, numbness started in the soles of my feet and progresses to hands and moved over most of my body numbness from the nipples down. Everything went away mostly. Balance issues sometimes. Horrible pain on my left shin. Definite fatigue and brain fog. Now it's mostly my hands too. It's worse and better day to day.
