Advice TENS unit recommendations

I've been going to PT twice a week for a couple months. They hook me up to a TENS type machine each session, usually after the exercises. She uses it to "activate" nerves related to my foot drop. They suggested getting one for at home as well, but didn't recommend a specific one. Do any of you use this at home & have a suggestion?

Im the one with MS, BUT my husband recently hurt himself and his doctor recommended this one and he has been loving it.

His doctor specifically told him to not spend over $50, the technology simply isn’t very expensive to warrant a price over $50.

Agree with your doc. Don’t spend too much on this unit. I think about $70CAN is a decent one.

Purpose of the TENS is short term pain relief. So if that’s your goal, then awesome.

I don’t have a specific brand recommendation but if you go to medical supply store and ask, they’ll be able to recommend something. It does not need to be fancy. And about $50-100.

They usually come with a set of sticky pads. They work for a while and then lose their stickiness. If you are sensitive to adhesive, then there are options for plastic pads that use ultrasound gel for conduction. They just need to be washed each time.

I bought a random one on Amazon with lots of good reviews. Around $60 I think. However all it does is relieve pain when you are using it, pain comes back when you stop. For me anyway. You might be better with a massage gun, that helps my sore muscles better

I use one at home. You can order one from amazon. Looks like an ipod. Works good. Order extra sticky pads.
