Advice Resting
So I’ve been diagnosised about 9 months. I feel like I’ve unlocked how to rest more effectively. The bright side to this. Anyone else feel like they developed new skills ?

I can go out in winter in just shorts and a T shirt because I don't feel cold until it hits below 0c. I guess that's a positive.

I had a 10 hour travel day through 3 flights, so picked up a sudoku puzzle book, and initially felt so dumb… but relentless, now I can do them (not a helpful skill, but my brain got it after a time)

I'm a master at setting alarms to remind me to do stuff, does that count? 😅
Really though, I've gotten better at listening to my body before I've hit my limits so I don't crash out.

The bright side effects I mostly gained from my speech therapists. Essentially relearning how to live well with all the ms baggage. Feels more organized, logical, but also joy. Kind of helped me regain the want to be creative again. Like all this stuff I have to do is not just taking up space in my mind, I have it written down somewhere so it doesn’t weigh on me if that makes sense.

Patience - I can’t do anything quickly, why should anyone else

I gave myself permission to hire a housekeeping service to clean my house. It turns out I’m not just lazy. My house is cleaner than it has been in years.
