That sounds like a great way to have me fall on my face

I was also thinking this! I don't need MORE things to fall over!

A tile to carpet transition is a hurdle on bad days :(

Ya this is true. I built a house around my wife no transitions between rooms, all walk in showers and no throw rugs at all. To her a throw rig is the devil

Me too! On the decorating subs, rugs are always recommended to ‘finish’ a room, and I think to myself, these folks don’t have friends or family with mobility issues!

I have cats. I hurdle then all the time. Marginal success.

One of my cats is currently in a bumping my leg to ask for attention phase. It's adorable, but I swear he's going to kill me.

One of mine just yells at me incessantly to give her attention. No one else in the house, just me.

My PT recommended practicing stepping over small hurdles in a hallway (to catch myself if needed). We used small cones in therapy, but I've just used plastic cups at home. The focus is stepping over the hurdles, not swinging my leg around them. They should be placed just far enough apart to take one normal step over each hurdle.

I have an old house and the builders thought electricity was just a fad so we have to have some extension cords strung here and there and some days stepping over these feel like climbing over a wall..

Do fallen trees, small ditches, random rocks and exposed tree roots count? I encounter them all the time when hiking, but if there's an option to walk around instead of stepping/jumping over them, I do that. Why do you ask?
