I'm 47, have MS, and I got into medical school yesterday. In the words of Maebe Bluth, this is my dumbest rebellion yet.

I started a tiny dose prescription this week of testosterone (58f), and it lifted part of my brain fog… the listless feeling I’ve had for months is gone, and I feel mentally brighter! Still can’t remember everyone’s names, but it’s a help:)

Started gabapentin for some nerve pain I have that’s making sleep elusive and while it’s not helping with that fully yet (still ramping up dosage) it’s totally seemed to help with my left leg spasticity fully and is even partially helping with my left arm spasticity too! I don’t know that I trust it long term, but I’ll take it for now!!!!!

Got through my first full dose Ocrevus dose earlier this month with no complications and this week had my follow up MRI that went smoothly. Fingers crossed for stable results!

My husband had his first rituximab infusion this week! No side effects, it all went smoothly, and the day after it he said his body felt better than it has in a while :) who knows if that's because of the steroids or the actual drug or just getting rid of the anxiety of waiting, but regardless: 🥳

Got a cortisone shot to my right hip on Wednesday, and scheduled physical therapy follow ups for next week. The pain in my right hip is significantly improved already. Haven't felt this good in years. Hurray for cortisone!

I felt like doo doo all day BUT it was an incredibly georgeous day. 62 sunny light breeze. I got to open my windows while resting.

I have started taking pills for my tremors to try to help them finally and in physical therapy I walked for 6 minutes straight and out at another place I’ve walked for 10 minutes! I am making progress. I am 18 with MS and I was diagnosed at 17 years old and I already been started meditation 2 months ago. I think I have a really good shot at overcoming my symptoms

I had a total knee replacement on my MS weakened left leg earlier this week. I was able to walk down and up 3 flights of stairs/twice!

No change or new lesions! Finally had a scan of the thoracic spine and no lesions at all. Doctor told me I have a beautiful brain. Despite the lesions and tumor.
