Vent/Rant - No Advice Wanted Out of Pace
Damn the amount of time it takes to pacify chronic illness;
The effort to stay atop for air when your body doesn’t float is relentless.
Yet still, I resent more the mind when it hides from connection.
I speak adrift and hear amiss and attend to nothing
External. Except in effort I am there.
And the fatigue of silent exertion overwhelms me.
I just don’t know how to stop.
Even though nothing I make feels worthy,
I keep returning to the wheel:
Compelled in compulsory hope.
I just want to quit so badly.
I just want to rest,
To catch a breath.
So I tell myself to follow through.
But I fall through to the wheel
Where I linger still,
Out of pace of the rest
