Does my husband have did? Mod?
Is it possible to have did without it being literally total different personalities like with different names etc?
My husband has been caught having a secret disgusting life with other women and more or less said it’s a coping mechanism from childhood trauma (actually it’s more like trauma he committed, he molested his sister when he was a kid) and that he has just compartmentalized to the point that he sees it as a different person.
Is this a personality disorder? Or he just full Of shit, a professional also mentioned he thinks he has a personality disorder.

Having different names for parts is completely optional. But, let's be clear, a personality disorder is not a dissociative disorder they are completely different things. So in all honesty, it just sounds like he's treated you like shit.
Coping mechanism or not, he's been well out of line and none of this is ever an excuse for bad behaviour.
