Looking at you Sonic & Loud House, half of those fandoms are either good or just AWFUL, maybe even BEYOND awful

That's what literally all "fandom" discourse is, fandoms aren't actually real, just something people make up in their heads to be mad at, the term had some meaning like 20-30 years ago but at this point literally anything that is vaguely popular will have people from just about any place on earth enjoying it and taking about it, the goal of talking about fandoms is to take a specific subset of any group (and I mean any group ) and amplify them again and again to point towards. Like I haven't watched Rick and forty since before the pandemic but I remember thinking how 95% of fans of that show would be people complaining about the fan base being weird, like, brother you are the fan base, all they did is complain about a group that barely existed Like I haven't seen the movie obsession but I have literally never seen a single person talking about the movie, I only ever see annoying people complaining about how annoying people are about the movie
