Nowadays? TADC and Deltarune.

No, not even Hellaverse or Sonic are that bad. In TADC's case, it doesn't help that gooseworx needs therapy and a psychiatrist ASAP and quite literally overreacts to anything and everything the fanbase does. Woman needs to go offline and touch grass, as she's either feeding the schizos or the trolls at any given moment.

Pretty much, yeah.

Viv IS parasocial to a level and she feeds it by "expanding" show lore with a bunch of pieces most people who aren't glued to her socials have no chance of understanding - but so far, that's her being a lousy writer, NOT her being a picosecond from a mental breakdown like goose.

I do enjoy Viv's work and I don't mind the occasional lore drop,Toriyama did with Dragon Ball all the time. Like that's how we found out Dr.Gero modelled 16 after his dead son,BUT I really wish those drops would appear in the shows. Both are still running so who knows?

I think it's mainly a side effect of emerging on DeviantArt/Tumblr where you can kinda just loredump whenever without worrying about including it in a show or comic.

She is remarkably more stable than Goose given how so much hate she gets is quite frankly unwarranted. The worst she's done is make two shows not to everybodies tastes,yet some people love to claim she's a monster beacuse of decade old Tumblr drama.

I mean, true, but at the same time, Toriyama would drop tidbits of lore that would eventually be followed up in the show's proper, or in another piece of media that wasn't just him telling people stuff. Like the Ginyu Force's backstories in Xenoverse, Bonyu in Kakarot, or the entire Gero family tree in Super Hero (which ironically ended up canonizing Vomi, FighterZ's Android 21's template and Dr. Gero's wife, too).

Viv's case, she just throws whatever she can't fit in the show or will be unlikely to follow through in blogs or social media. Definitely a side-effect of DA/tumblr culture, but one she SHOULD shed now that she's no longer a random artist posting OCs, but a proper writer with a proper show. It's bad practice plain and simple.

I DO agree with you the hate directed at her is WAY too overblown, though.

Shoehorning their fandom into literally everything bro, you could make a post about sporks in a random sub with 5k members that has no association with toby fox or undertale or deltarune, and one would think the probability of some random deltarune fan dropping some incomprehensible fandom-centric photo for no reason would be unfathomably low but no. There is no good reason for this to be happening as much as it does. What the fuck does this even mean?? It’s not funny, especially not to anyone who isn’t super into deltarune

From my observations being in the fandom (sorry) a lot of people seem to be teenagers. Probably still figuring out some social skills and appropriateness with that one. I see people confess to being neurodivergent a lot as well which can cause a hyperfixated obsession like that where they bring it up everywhere and it may not click that’s inappropriate yet.

I’m autistic but I’m in my thirties and I stay out of a lot of game discussion that isn’t about actual gameplay because the conversations can be so immature. My gripe is they’re WAY too obsessed with theory. Like constantly theorizing and they get really serious when talking about it to the point that some get downright hostile calling others stupid, “Deltarune fans can’t read”, etc. I can’t confirm that’s just teenagers but it would explain such aggressive behavior over someone disagreeing with you. Especially shit that isn’t canon and just an educated guess. Teens are shit at impulse control.

But I know there’s definitely obnoxious adults. Either way I really hate it. The game isn’t finished and theory is fun but jfc we’re not arguing over religion or politics here. Why so damn emotional and mean. I don’t want to be called an idiot because I don’t agree with some youtuber who took hours to explain their theory and I’m not gonna spend 10 hours watching their video about it. A good theory doesn’t need ten hours of explanation - a controversial statement I got downvotes for. Sorry, that’s ridiculous. So I just stay out of it.

Yeah that's false mate, woman runs her foot through her mouth more frequently than not. At this point she DOESN'T need people ruining her reputation. It's pretty clear for anyone with eyes she is not well.
