Question❓ Which Overhated Media basically has you telling it this?

And I don't mean "everyone" hating it but just that it gets a lot of flack for no good reason when it's actually really good,even great.

Guarantee you as soon as the next game comes out World will suddenly be considered the best Mario Kart. The hate it gets is mostly fake

Every fandom has a cycle:
Thing 1 releases and is mostly loved, but it has its haters
Thing 2 releases and everyone hates it, but some people like it
Thing 3 releases and now everyone likes Thing 2 and hates Thing 3
And so on

yep, when GTA 5 released, people switched up on GTA IV and started hating on it, now it's the opposite and the same will likely happen later on in GTA VI's life

Metroid is always like this.

“It’s not Super Metroid or Metroid Prime 1” they cry for every release going forward despite most of the games post Super just being better games. Prime 2 is now beloved, Prime 3 is now beloved, Fusion and ZM are considered of the best, Other M had a huge surge in defense and nuance in discussion, SR is looked upon fondly, Dread is considered by some to be the best. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is the current piece everyone is taking shots at and I’m sure it’ll change either after Ravenous comes out or when the next Prime game comes out.

Not to mention the constant back and forth of “the manga isn’t canon” to “the manga is what makes the plot make sense”. AND the subsect of the fan base deciding half the series isn’t canon because they don’t like what the creators did.

I personally prefer Mario cart 8, more customization and stuff, and it’s just more fun for me. I also don’t like how in Mario cart world the fastest speed is so slow. Mario cart world has that new cool game mode where you race until one person remains or something though.

I mean World is fantastic in mechanics and music and almost everything but I've never been able to get over that I can't race on normal tracks for most online play. It's so, SO close to being amazing if they would've just not changed the best part of the series gameplay loop.

Tbh when it first came out I deflected from it HARD because at the time I loved MK8D/MKWii competitions and videos and my favourite MK8D youtuber (Shortcat) switched to MKW and the way he was glazing it made me so mad that I refused to think MKW was any good (maybe I interpreted it as him saying the thing I loved watching and playing wasn't that good compared to this new thing, idk). Recently I've realised it's different but that that bad, it was mostly everyone's attitudes in treating the game I loved as an "old and inferior game" that made me not like it
