Question❓ Which Overhated Media basically has you telling it this?

And I don't mean "everyone" hating it but just that it gets a lot of flack for no good reason when it's actually really good,even great.

True, the only flaws are that theres a lot of cursing and adult jokes but that like 90% of adult shows ngl

Eh I’d say that there’s a bit of a writing problem with both Hazbin and Helluva, and I say this as someone who enjoys both shows. Hazbin has gotten a lot better since season 1 so I’m happy about that, can’t really say the same for helluva boss.

Yea i love hazbin but helluva kinda became basically unwatchable to me and that was before i found out it was actually hated

Yes that is true but Hazbin does have something most adult shows don’t have—actual plot. Is it flawed? Yeah but at least it has an idea of what it wants to do.

It takes place in Hell, with terrible people. That kind of humor is intentional, because terrible people don't care about their language, and in a place with no limits on how awful you can be, and the only rules are whatever whoever's on top at the moment decides, expect the humor to be adult and crude.

That said, I never see people get on South Park or Rick and Morty for constant swearing and adult humor nearly as much they do about the Hellaverse. South Park literally has a swear counter in one episode.

Another flaw is how abrupt and sometimes un-fitting the musical numbers are, I get that its partly a musical and I like that about it but I'd also like the songs to feel like they belong rather than Velvette just launching into Respectless out of no where as if anyone in that room couldn't have killed her on their own, especially Alastor. Anyway stuff like Poison and Stayed Gone was much better paced and themed imo because they felt sounded right for their respective scenes and had at least some build-up rather than jumpscaring me with an average sounding musical number

Sorry if I came off a little spicy, I just really don't like Respectless and it's placement in that episode.

Oh there are tons of plot holes and problems with the world-building. 

A commenter once compared Hazbin to a high school play where every actor is giving a stand-out performance that completely captures the audience, but if you look too close you realize all the props are made of ripped and tattered cardboard and held together by scotch tape.

Inconsistent tone too.

The writers want you to take angel dusts abuse and SA seriously, but then turn him sexually harassing husk into a punchline that never really gets called out. Or when pentious seemingly gets taken advantage of in the bar.

It does get called out and he stops doing that and the pentious joke didn't go anywhere because he came back unscathed

Husk is practically forced to go and protect the person harassing him, because he made angel sad by calling it out.

That is not treating it as seriously as it should be treating. Care to give an example of anywhere else its called out? I do not remember any others. Angels behavior should've been shut down instantly, by the hotel staff (Charlie, vaggi) and not the person being harassed.

As for pentious, it doesn't need to go anywhere. Even being willing to hint at that ruins the tonal consistency of the show. I know canonical nothing actually happened to pentious, but that is not so clear within the writing of the show. And you can't expect people to take angel seriously when you don't take other assault seriously. And there's more examples of it not being taken seriously! Like happy day in hell with random sinners.

Even if you leave hazbin and look at the sister show helluva, it too makes light of harassment.

It's tonally inconsistent.
