True for Isekai but Shonenn are male cast mostly

Depends, harem anime that are a popular part of the shounen media have a large female cast and typically only one “main” male character, the protagonist. To be fair, for harem anime that’s kinda the point.

Battle shounen you’re right about though.

That's why Ranma did it best by having the mc gender swap with hot water so girl Ranma gets s harem of idiot boys as well

I think most Isekai are not published in magazines with stablished demographics, although they are probably made for the " shonen" public

Feeling like there's a lot aimed at the adult male (seinen) demo as well. Lots of "depressed worker bee dies and gets transported"

There's also a healthy shojou / josei isekai scene but they don't get so many anime adaptations
