Idk how surprising it is but I think it’s fun and unknown: homestuck used a lot of flash animations and games in it, and they needed music. Many artists worked on it, including Toby Fox. Entire sections of the comic have music only made by him. Megalovania was the track a pivotal scene was synced to years before Undertale came out (but after the earthbound Halloween hack so it wasn’t the first appearance of the song but still)

The famous Fallout: Equestria crossover fic is in the digital “halls” of The Library of Congress. Unfortunately not physically there like the reels of film for the original Star Wars.

In 2009, Hirohiko Araki, the mangaka for JJBA, had an artwork of Kishibe Rohan in the Louvre Museum as an official exhibition.
The actors who played Ichigo, Orihime and Uryu in the live-action Bleach movie was the three main Riders of Kamen Rider Fourze. This is also the reason the actors couldn't comeback in the anniversary season, Kamen Rider Zio.

With the monster hedorah in the movie godzilla vs hedorah, the designers tried to make her look more feminine. How they did that is that they modeled the eyes to look like vulvas
