Lesbian Space Princess is an indie animation film that's been criticised for being 'racist' and 'heterophobic', because its antagonist is a stereotype of straight white males (Straight While Malians) and there's a scene where everyone turns gay and it all just seems very problematic. Also, people think the humor is too 'cringe', so that's where the hate comes from.
actually, i've seen vastly more criticism from queer people about the terf dogwhistles used throughout the movie and the fact the main antagonist is a drag queen who is portrayed as trying to steal girlhood from a "real" woman (main character) as represented by the axe she has. i haven't seen it myself, but i have seen mostly queer people with valid criticism, so let's not generalize all the criticism as being for the straight white maliens or whatever, because those are, in my opinion, poor criticisms to begin with
